Required Education:
High school or equivalent

Legacy employs caring and professional managers, teachers, trainers and barn personnel. We provide instruction in a supervised, safe environment for all skill levels, from beginners to A-Rated Shows, in hunt seat and jumping. As a benefit, your own horses can be boarded.

The ideal candidate has experience :
• Managing the daily care, feed requirements and well-being of horses
• Developing a training plan that maintains the current level of training in the main herd
• Implementing a herd replacement plan to include starting young horses, identifying candidates for retirement, and seeking further replacements
• Giving lessons to riders ranging from beginner to experienced, and young children to seniors
• Keeping a clean and organized work space, and all tack in good repair
• Using e-mail and spreadsheets to send progress notes and communication

Required :

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an enthusiasm and passion for this opportunity. 4-5 years experience as a horse trainer.

Excellent horsemanship and an eagerness to share it with others through trail rides and lessons.

Must have great references.

Non-smoking facility. No drug or alcohol use on premises, zero-tolerance policy. Housing not included.
